Richard and Rita are experienced Jaguar restorers. Going outside the box, they purchased a 1947 Mercury station wagon in 2010. The Merc has been well traveled going from California to Chicago and now back to California. Fast forward two years when Richard contacted us about putting the woodie together. What looked like a straight forward project turned out to be a little more challenging? In almost a start over, the chassis is being fitted with a heidt's front end and a dual spring 9 inch Ford rear end. An H and H flathead with Ardun heads will power the wagon and Chris Messano Woodworks will tackle the wood work. Look for the finished product at next year's Woodies on the Wharf in Santa Cruz.
