Immediately after we shipped Erics 49 Ford Coupe off for paint, we got started on his 49 Chevy pick-up. Like his shoebox, this truck is also going to have plenty of subtle modifications. The top is chopped 1, the cab has been channeled 2 over the frame, the front quarters have been sectioned 1 to raise the front fenders, and the hood has been sectioned 1 through the mid section. We also shortened the wheelbase of the TCI frame 4 to move the rear fenders forward on the bed. And just like the 49 Coupe, the truck will be right hand drive to prepare it for its life in Great Britain.
