Bubba’s latest project is more than just another hot rod, it’s a pickup truck that was purchased by his father back in 1954. When Bubba’s dad bought the truck, it had a Chevy engine, ’39 trans and a stock rear end. The truck was sold in the early 60’s and bought back one year later. In the late 70’s, Pete & Jakes did a rebuild on the pickup, allowing it to be driven for almost 20 years. Then in the mid 90’s, California Street Rods did a rebuild of their own. In 1997, the truck became Bubba’s. Now it’s our turn. We are leaving things the way they were, for the most part, except for a new small block and oh yeah, the color change. From father to son, the way it should be.
